The Action field was changed to a mandatory field with effect from Monday 13th May 2024, to ensure consistent and accurate reporting, as a result of review and agreement by the ESBS ETB HR/Pay Working Group.
Below please find a part from the ETB notification sent in relation to Action Codes;
Action Codes:
A list of Action codes has been agreed to provide enhanced reporting, as per the table below and PeopleXD has been updated to reflect this.
This field will be made mandatory with effect from Monday 13th May 2024, so any amendments from this date will require an action code to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
Action Code | When these should be used |
Career Break | If EE on Career Break is returning to do substitute work / part-time hours. |
Carers Leave | If EE is on Carer's Leave with reduced working hours. |
Job Share | Any Teacher/SNA on job share. |
Secondment | Secondment |
Shorter Working Year | Shorter Working Year |
Work Share | Any EE's other than Teacher/SNA, on work share. |
Substantive post | This should be the default selection if no other Actions are applicable. |
Multi-appointment | EE who has more than one appointment. |
Note: *Do not select any Action codes marked with **DNU**
For any contract amendments that do not have a specific action code to choose, please select 'Substantive Post'.
