ESBS are not the employer, we are an agent for the purpose of processing payroll payments.
We cannot engage with Revenue in relation to this matter as to do so would be a breach under GDPR.
If the employee ended the employment themselves and it was not done through the leaver process, we cannot make the necessary submission of start / re-join dates to Revenue. This remains a matter for the employee, the employer and Revenue.
In instances where payees have inadvertently ceased their employments with an ETB it will be necessary for them to contact Revenue and request that end date be removed.
Unfortunately, ESBS are not in a position to make any alterations on our systems as this will have knock-on impacts on the HR, Pension and T&A systems.
Payees will need to request that Revenue remove the unintended end date from their system and reissue the RPN to the ETB.
Example;
The employee below was processed as a leaver and ceased employment on …………. as per our records and ETB instruction.
This would have been forwarded to revenue as part of our process.
Once we receive instruction to re-join the employee this will be actioned and revenue files for that period will be sent to Revenue by us, showing their new start date.
Having said this, we are unable to instruct in relation to an RPN as ESBS are not the employer, we are an agent for the purpose of processing payroll payments.
The employee should contact revenue and liaise with ___ ETB in relation to this.
